Johnson highlights Senior Day victory for Marian men’s soccer

Brayden Johnson scored two goals as Marian University men’s soccer (5-9-3, 3-6-2 NACC) claimed a crucial 4-1 victory over Concordia Chicago.

  • Sophomore Brayden Johnson opened the scoring for the Sabres early, with a rebound goal off of freshman Szymon Kielar at 1:57.
  • Senior captain Nathan Blazenko celebrated Senior Day with a solo goal in the 13th minute to make it 2-0.
  • To open the second half, sophomore JT Sus turned a cross from sophomore Hudson Shenk into a 3-0 lead at 48:06.
  • Senior Nathan Espinosa made five second half saves in relief for sophomore goalie Connor Farrell.
  • Johnson saw his sixth and final shot attempt find the back of the net for his second goal of the game, cementing a 4-1 victory for the Sabres.
