 Marian University men’s soccer (4-4-1, 2-2-0 NACC) scored three second-half goals and cruised past Rockford on Homecoming weekend by a score of 5-0.

  • Sophomore Brayden Johnson got an early start, batting in the first goal off a throw-in by freshman Niko Tsitsis at 8:18.
  • Johnson continued his early success by starting the second half with a fancy finish to make it 2-0. 
  • A Rockford red card at 54:59 allowed the Sabres to play 11-on-10 for the remainder of the game. 
  • Sophomore JT Sus capitalized with a header off the corner kick by sophomore Jay Wolcott to extend the lead to three.
  • Freshman Szymon Kielar scored in his second-straight contest off an assist from senior Nathan Blazenko.
  • A hat trick from Johnson in the 88th minute concluded a 5-0 victory for the Sabres.
