The City of Fond du Lac is pleased to announce the appointment of John A. Zordani as its new Assistant City Attorney. In this role, Mr. Zordani will provide legal guidance to the city and support the administration on a wide range of legal and policy matters.
Mr. Zordani brings extensive legal and policy experience to the position. Most recently, he served as Assistant to the Office of Legal Counsel for Governor Tony Evers, where he reviewed pardon applications, assisted with interstate extraditions, and conducted research on various legal topics.
“John Zordani brings a wealth of legal and policy experience, a distinguished academic background, and a strong commitment to public service,” said City Manager Joe Moore. “We are confident he will be an invaluable asset to our community.”
Mr. Zordani earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School, receiving the Law-In-Action and John J. Walsh merit scholarships. He also holds a Master of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Business administration in Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While in law school, he completed clerkships with the Office of the Governor and a Wisconsin law firm, as well as an externship with the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
Beyond his legal background, Mr. Zordani has conducted policy research and advocacy, including analyzing state corrections policy as a fellow at a statewide research organization. Before law school, he worked as an associate at a government affairs firm in Madison. He is admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
