Ice cream treats will be given away at FDLPL on Sunday, Aug. 22

The Fond du Lac Public Library has some sweet news: Because the community succeeded in reading more than 2 million minutes during the Summer Reading Program, the library will be giving away ice cream treats on Sunday, Aug. 22.

All told, participants in this year’s Summer Reading Program read a whopping 2,205,723 minutes between June 1 and Aug. 15, completing an impressive 110% of the library’s 2-million-minute goal. Because the goal was reached, the library is ready to give away ice cream.

The first 400 visitors to the library at 32 Sheboygan St. may pick up a sweet treat on Sunday, Aug. 22 starting at noon outside the south entrance to the Fond du Lac Public Library. This free give-away will be held rain or shine, and will be moved inside the south entrance in the case of inclement weather.

Supplies will be limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis; limit one per person.

During the visit, be sure to watch for a visit from Browser, and learn more about upcoming events at the Fond du Lac Public Library.
