Freshman Kendall Graves of Marian University women’s flag football and sophomore Ayden Kanaman of Marian University baseball have been selected as the final Sabres of the Month.

Graves (Fort Thomas, Ky.) was a ball hawk for the Sabres on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. In the final month of the season, Graves helped lead Marian to a 7-3 record by making 35 receptions for 600 yards to go with eight interceptions on the defensive end. Graves became the first Sabre with a 100-yard receiving game when she went for 112 at Aurora. Just two games later, she also had a 98-yard receiving game. Graves had a receiving touchdown in all but three games with multiple touchdowns in three games. In game one against Benedictine April 16, Graves had just three catches but they were all touchdowns as she totaled 65 yards. In the NACC Tournament, Graves also had a three-interception game against Aurora. She went on to earn a spot on the All-NACC Tournament team.

Ayden Kanaman • Sophomore • Baseball
Kanaman (New London, Wis.) finished out a strong second season at Marian earning a spot on the All-NACC Honorable Mention squad. Kanaman led Marian in nearly every offensive category for the final stretch of the season batting 29-of-67 (.433) with 20 runs driven in, and seven extra-base hits. His slash line was filled out with a .519 on-base percentage and a .627 slugging percentage. Kanaman played in 17 games over April and May and was held hitless only four times. He finished with 10 multi-hit efforts as well. One of his top performances of the season came in game one at WLC where he went 5-for-6 with three runs driven in and a run scored. Kanaman also had a strong doubleheader against Dominican going 4-for-7 with seven runs driven in and four runs scored.
