Get Your Flannels Ready – The Ledge Games Return for Tenth Consecutive Year

Annual charitable event is back in 2025 to raise funds for local tech education

The Ledge Games (TLG), a local timber competition for charity, returns on Saturday, October 4, 2025, for its tenth year of competition. New this year, the local lumberjack event will welcome hundreds of spectators and more than 100 amateur competitors to Ledgerock Distillery, located at N5287 Grandview Rd, Fond du Lac, WI 54937, for a fun-filled day of flannel and friendly competition.

Competition challenges the competitors’ strength and finesse with events including caber toss, hammer toss, recurve archery, keg toss, speed chop and axe throwing. The winner of each event will claim a TLG axe, and the winners of each division take home a new chainsaw and a year’s worth of bragging rights.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for our tenth annual event on October 4,” Tyler Oestreich, The Ledge Games co-founder, said. “We’re excited to have a new host in Ledgerock Distillery, and we’re ready to see who claims their axes, all while raising funds for a really worthy cause.”

Since 2016, The Ledge Games and its long list of dedicated local sponsors have raised more than $90,000 to help make education more accessible and affordable for local students studying engineering, manufacturing, technology and related fields. Additionally, TLG continues to engage the community throughout the year with Engineer + Builder Meetups, networking events that allow local industry experts to showcase their personal and professional projects and skill sets.

The Ledge Games kick off at 8:00 a.m. with events running until approximately 4 p.m. In addition to the lumber competition, TLG offers food, drinks, raffles, entertainment and fun for the whole family.
