Get ready for the holidays with FDLPL’s Idea Studio

With family gatherings just around the corner; what better way to set the table for the season than carving out your own napkin holder? The Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio makerspace can help.

On Monday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio, get badged on our Carvey CNC router and choose one of four pre-made designs to carve out a napkin holder.

During “Let’s Make – Napkin Holders,” participants will be able to make one napkin holder of their choosing. Materials will be provided for this class. Register online at calendar.fdlpl.org

New to the Idea Studio? Let staff give you a full tour during Take a Turn through the Idea Studio on Monday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. Visit to see all of the Idea Studio’s equipment; projects will be available to try at each station. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org.

Group badging opportunities also are available at the Idea Studio. Check calendar.fdlpl.org for sessions as they become available.

The Idea Studio is open for walk-in visits Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
