Senior Serge Simard and sophomore Jayden Gerhardt have each been named All-NACC Honorable Mention.
Simard (Winnipeg, Man.) finishes his career with his second All-NACC Honorable Mention award. Another strong season on the offensive end saw Simard score 25 goals and account for 43.9 percent of the scoring for the Sabres. He recorded a hat trick in four games this season ending the campaign with a season-high five goals against Lawrence. He also had a strong game against Cornell scoring four goals with four assists to lead the Sabres to a 10-9 triple-overtime win over the Rams. He also had a season-high 10 ground balls in that victory. Simard graduates third all-time for points and goals, while his 18 man-up goals is good for second in the Sabre record book.
Gerhardt (Oneida, Wis.) was the anchor of the Sabre defense all season long earning his first all-conference selection. He finished the season ranked third in the NACC for caused turnovers per game and 11th in the conference for ground balls per game. Gerhardt finished the season with 33 caused turnovers, second most for a single season in program history, and 48 ground balls in total. His best game of the season came against Cornell where he set a Marian single-game record with 10 caused turnovers and added 14 ground balls which was the second-most in a single game in program history. Gerhardt also caused five turnovers against Alma and had six ground balls at Beloit.
