Game slips out of reach in final minutes as Marian men’s soccer falls 3-0

Marian University men’s soccer (4-5-1, 2-3-0 NACC) stayed within one for 70 minutes, but ultimately fell to MSOE by a score of 3-0.

  • MSOE quickly cemented themselves with four shots in the first ten minutes. 
  • Nico Picha gave the Raiders a quick 1-0 lead off a score at 11:46.
  • Thanks to four first half saves from junior Tyler Hall, the Sabres were able to hold MSOE scoreless for the remainder of the half. 
  • Marian stayed composed until a goal by Adrian Manchado gave the Raiders a 2-0 lead in the 71st minute.
  • Manchado repeated with his second goal to extend the lead to three in the final minutes.

Junior Tyler Hall (4-5-1) had a career-high nine saves in the loss. 
Sophomore Kairo Machuca recorded the lone shot on goal for the Sabres. 
Senior Nathan Blazenko played all 90 minutes and managed one shot.
