Marian University men’s lacrosse (1-5, 0-2 NACC) scored five unanswered goals to end the game but fell to Illinois Tech 16-11.

- The Scarlet Hawks were able to score four unanswered goals over the final 3:40 of the opening quarter to lead 5-2.
- After scoring the first three goals of the second quarter, the Scarlet Hawks would lead 8-2.
- The two squads would trade goals the rest of the first half with Tech leading 11-4 at halftime.
- The Sabres were able to score the opening goal of the second half before Illinois Tech built its lead to 15-5 heading into the fourth quarter with four straight scores.
- Marian would dominate outscoring Tech 6-1 with junior Serge Simard scoring three goals.
- The tough first half was too much to overcome, however, as Illinois Tech would secure a 16-11 win.
