Envision Greater FDL Honored with FDL School District’s 2018-2019 Friend of Education Award

On Monday, May 13, Envision Greater Fond du Lac was recognized by the Fond du Lac School District as the District’s 2018-2019 Friend of Education Award recipient. President and CEO Cecilia Harry along with members of the Envision Greater Fond du Lac staff and Board of Directors were on hand at the Board of Education Meeting to accept the award.

Envision Greater Fond du Lac partners with the District in many capacities and provides quality learning opportunities for students. The Youth Apprenticeship/School to Work Program, Lemonade Day, Project G.R.I.L.L., and Career Connections Academy for 7th and 8th grade students are several examples of programs provided by Envision Greater Fond du Lac to help students be college and career ready. The Envision Greater Fond du Lac Board of Directors also passed a resolution of support in February endorsing the recently successful $98.5 million District Facilities Referendum.

“Envision Greater Fond du Lac is so pleased to receive this recognition,” stated Cecilia Harry, President and CEO. “A strong partnership between the business community and education partners like the Fond du Lac School District is critical to the growth and success of our region. We look forward to even stronger support of the mission of the Fond du Lac School District into the future.

Each year since 1998, the Fond du Lac School District and Fond du Lac Education Association have collaborated to select an annual Friend of Education Award recipient. The award is presented to individuals and/or organization who contribute significantly to the mission of the Fond du Lac School District.
