FREE PEDIATRIC PFIZER VACCINE AVAILABLE AT THE FOND DU LAC COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The Fond du Lac County Health Department will begin offering the initial series of the pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5-11 during Thursday vaccination clinics on January 20th, 2022. The Thursday vaccination clinic is open by appointment only from 10:00am-4:00pm and individuals must call 920-929-3085 to schedule an appointment. In addition to this new offering, we continue to provide Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson initial series and boosters for eligible groups. The COVID-19 vaccines are free of charge and no insurance is required. For more information on other immunizations available at the Health Department, visit our website.

Beginning January 27th, the vaccination clinic hours will be extended on the last Thursday of each month until May. On these Thursdays the new hours will be 10:00am-6:00pm, with the last two hours of the clinic (4:00pm-6:00pm) being reserved for COVID-19 vaccines only. The clinic dates with extended hours will be: January 27th, February 24th, March 31st, April 28th, and May 26th.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends all individuals ages 5 and up receive a COVID-19 vaccine and booster (when eligible) to protect against severe illness and death from the virus that causes COVID-19. Vaccination paired with a booster can also help protect against known variants currently circulating. The benefits of COVID-19 vaccination outweigh the known and potential risks, which are rare. Visit the CDC website for more information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
