Four Sabres earn recognition on NACC women’s soccer All-Conference team

Four student-athletes from the Marian University women’s soccer team made an appearance on the NACC All-Conference team.

Junior Emily Gordillo (Compton, Calif.) earns her third-straight All-Conference appearance as a First Team selection. This follows an additional First Team selection in 2023 and a Second Team choice in 2024. Gordillo ranked first on the team in assists and second in goals and points. She also led Marian in shot attempts and was one of five Sabres to appear in all 20 games this season, while being the only to start in all 20. Gordillo finished tied for third in the conference for assists with eight. She also ranked among the top ten in the NACC in shots, shots on goal, game-winning goals, and points. Gordillo had two goals in a 6-0 win over Lakeland (Sept. 24) and two assists in a 4-0 win over Aurora (Oct. 10). Through 56 career games, Gordillo has totals of 19 goals, 16 assists, and 54 points, 17th on the Marian all-time scoring list.

Senior Brianna Guelig (Mount Calvary, Wis.) earns her first All-Conference appearance, being named a Second Team selection. After missing the entire 2024 season due to injury, Guelig bounced back with a breakthrough campaign in 2025. Guelig led the Sabres with 10 goals and 22 points, being the first Sabre to record a double-digit goal campaign since Ashley Welk in 2021. These figures marked a huge improvement from her previous season-highs of three goals and nine points during the 2023 season. Guelig was one of four student-athletes in the NACC to record 10 or more goals on the season. Guelig also ranked in the top team of the conference in game-winning goals and points. She had two goals in a 10-0 victory over Rockford (Sept. 27), which kicked off a stretch of scoring in six of Marian’s next seven games. Guelig also recorded two assists in a 4-0 win over Aurora (Oct. 10). Guelig finishes her Sabre soccer career with 16 goals and 37 points across 50 appearances.

Senior Chelsea King (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) earns Honorable Mention honors for the second straight season, following a First Team appearance in 2023. King went 4-8-4 in goal for the Sabres, recording 64 saves with a .689 save percentage and three shutouts. King had five or more saves in four games this season, with her season-high of eight coming in the season finale against Edgewood (Nov. 2). King earned the eighth NACC Defensive Player of the Week selection of her career in late October. For that week, she had a four-save performance in a tie against WLC and posted a shutout in a win over Concordia Chicago. King concludes her Marian soccer career with 325 saves, 13 shutouts, and a record of 21-22-11 across 55 career games. In Marian history, King ranks tied for second in shutouts and sixth for saves.

Freshman Kendall Graves (Fort Thomas, Ky.) made a strong debut season for the Sabres, earning Honorable Mention honors. Graves took charge and showed reliability for the Sabre defense, being one of five Sabres to appear in all 20 games, starting in 19. She also led the Sabres in minutes, playing a total of 1,442. She joins Gordillo as the only Sabres to play over 1,400 minutes this season. An anchor for the Sabre defense, Graves helped lead Marian to seven shutouts, tied for fourth in the NACC.  Graves was one of just five freshman to appear on an All-Conference team this season. Graves becomes just the second freshman for Marian to earn All-NACC recognition since 2022.
