Fond du Lac Festivals, Inc. (FFI) to Host “Bags Fest” Cornhole Tournament with the support of other nonprofits in the Fond du Lac area

Get ready to toss some bags for a great cause! FFI is thrilled to announce its 5th Annual “BagsFest” Cornhole Tournament, a fun-filled fundraising event taking place on Saturday, February 7th at The Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.  FFI’s mission is to create and host family-friendly festivals and special events that also provide fundraising opportunities for other nonprofits in the area.

This competitive, but social event invites two-person teams of all ages and skill levels to compete in a friendly cornhole tournament, enjoy food options, music, and family activities, all while making a tangible difference in our community. Proceeds directly fund Fond du Lac Festivals and our nonprofit partner’s missions.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for the fifth year of friendly competition and family fun,” said Pete Wilke, Executive Director of Fond du Lac Festivals. “Cornhole is a simple game that brings people together, and gives participants a way to something fun and active in the heart of winter.  As the event grew, FFI added more elements.

A family-friendly “Bags & Littles” Tournament was added in 2024 with the help of community partner – Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County.  At this tournament, kids of all ages (17 and under) are encouraged to participate with their Big Brother or Big Sister and compete against other “Bigs” and “Littles”. Some more experienced kids are paired up with less experienced kids for better competition and more fun and prizes, courtesy of event sponsor – Pillar & Vine.

“Bags and Littles” provides our Big/Little matches with an accessible and fun activity to do together, during a time of year when it can be challenging to find affordable things to do in the area.  “Many youth in our program have never played Cornhole before, so The Bags & Littles event allows these children to try out this sport and have a great time too!” explains Recruitment and Match Specialist, Sara Straub.
