The Fond du Lac High School Boys Basketball team will open its 2025 season on Tuesday, Dec. 2, against Waunakee High School, with a slate of community-focused events planned throughout the winter.
Head Coach, Josh Dilling, said the team and staff have been working hard on and off the court to make an impact both athletically and in the community. “Our mission is to turn young boys into young men who work hard, lead well, and represent Fondy with pride on and off the court.” Dilling said.
“These events bring our school and city together. It’s not just about basketball — it’s about creating memories and building traditions that last,” Principal Michalkiewicz said.
At the season opener, fans will receive 1,000 schedule magnets, sponsored by RB Royal, listing both games and special event nights.
Highlights of the season include:
- Teddy Bear Toss: Bears will be donated to children at SSM Healthcare Hospital.
- Children’s Book Drive: Supporting preschool literacy in the
- A&W Nights: Cheese curds and root beer floats, with proceeds benefiting the program.
- Amcor Halftime Challenge: One fan could win $100 at each home
- Buffalo Wild Wings Giveaway: Wings for a lucky spectator with a lucky shot.
- Slam Dunk Stigma Night: Returning 3 to raise awareness.
- Military Night: Hosted by the cheerleading squad, featuring a “red out” theme and honoring service members.
The program will also honor past players with a Fondy Goodrich Legends Area at each home game and a Legends Evening on Jan. 9.
Other local businesses are contributing to the season’s efforts:
- Jersey Mike’s will provide subs for the team for their away games and fan giveaways.
- Edward Jones will sponsor a special National Anthem experience at each home game featuring local celebrities, current and future players, and a tribute to our country.
- The team will be supporting Nike backpacks for their equipment sponsored by Attitude Sports and Initial Design.
School officials said the season is designed to rally community support while giving fans memorable experiences at each game.
