Fond du Lac High School announced that Nick Ford, boys basketball head coach, has submitted his resignation.

A 2009 Fond du Lac High School graduate, Coach Ford has led the program since the 2019–20 season and has been a valued member of the athletic department. During his six-year tenure, the team made four regional final appearances, earned a regional final championship, and capped off the 2024–25 season by advancing to sectionals. Under Coach Ford’s leadership, the program achieved 78 wins and supported consistent growth among student-athletes on and off the court.

“We are grateful to Coach Ford for the dedication to our student-athletes and the positive impact he has had on the entire basketball program,” said Kevin Flegner, Fond du Lac athletic director. “The program is in a great place, which I have witnessed firsthand during a rewarding year partnering with Coach Ford and the team. We thank Coach Ford for his leadership and mentorship and wish him the best as he takes this next step with his family.”

A search for the next boys basketball coach will begin immediately. Fond du Lac High School remains committed to providing a supportive and competitive environment for all student-athletes. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply on WECAN later this week.

Please join us in thanking Coach Ford for his years of service and wishing him continued success in the future.
