Free community event will provide trusted information, resources, and conversations about perimenopause, menopause, and women’s health
Women from throughout the Fond du Lac area are invited to come together for Midlife Matters: A Women’s Health Morning, a free educational event designed to provide trusted information, practical resources, and meaningful conversations about women’s health during midlife. This event is sponsored by Froedtert ThedaCare, SSM Health, and The Wellness Way.
Hosted by the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, the event will take place from 8:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, October 17, at Marian University’s Stayer Center. Approximately 200 women are expected to attend, including women navigating perimenopause and menopause, caregivers, and those interested in taking a proactive approach to their health and wellness.
“Midlife is a significant season of change, and women deserve access to information and resources that help them understand and advocate for their health,” Kelli Schroedl, executive director of the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, said. “Midlife Matters is an opportunity to bring women together, create connections, and make conversations about women’s health more accessible within our community.”
The morning will feature expert presentations, interactive exhibits, and opportunities to connect with healthcare and wellness professionals. Topics will focus on perimenopause, menopause, healthy aging, and overall well-being, with an emphasis on providing attendees with practical knowledge they can use in their everyday lives.
“Events like Midlife Matters are important because they create space for women to ask questions, learn from experts, and connect with others who may be experiencing similar changes,” Claudia Hawkins-Moise, chairperson of the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, said. “We are pleased to help bring this conversation to our community and support efforts that empower women to make informed decisions about their health.”
In addition to educational presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to explore resources and connect with local organizations and professionals. The event is intended to be welcoming and accessible to women at different stages of midlife and to those who support them.
Midlife Matters is free and open to the community, although preregistration is encouraged. More information and registration are available through the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund at fdlawomensfund.org/midlife-matters.
