After one of the most successful seasons in the NACC era, Marian University baseball placed five student-athletes on the All-NACC lists.
Junior Riley Richard (Kieler, Wis.) was one of the top pitchers in the NACC all season long earning him a spot on the All-NACC First Team, his first all-conference award. Richard finished the season as the NACC leader for victories after going 7-2 with his five complete games putting him eighth in the entire nation. He would boast a 3.14 earned run average, third in the NACC, over 57.2 innings of work. Richard struck out 45 hitters and held hitters to just a .278 average for the season. He would hold opponents to two or fewer earned runs in six starts of his starts including a shutout against Lakeland that earned him NACC Pitcher of the Week honors and a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. He also held Dominican to zero earned runs in a complete game victory. Outside of the Lakeland performance, he also had a nine-inning complete game against Anderson (Ind.) where he struck out a season-high nine hitters.
Senior Robbie Knorr (Sun Prairie, Wis.) also earns his first All-NACC award after being named to the first team. Knorr had his best season as a Sabre hitting .328 with 31 runs scored and 24 runs scored on the campaign. He finished the year fourth on the team for runs scored and base hits with 44. Defensively at shortstop, Knorr posted a .906 fielding percentage and was involved in 19 double plays. Knorr posted multiple hits in 12 games during the season with at least three hits in half of those games. He had a particularly strong stretch from March 30 to April 16 where he went 21-for-45 (.466) over 12 games with eight runs driven in and 14 runs scored. Then in the opening game against No. 17 Aurora, Knorr went 4-for-5 with two runs driven in and three runs scored. It was a career-high for hits in a single game for Knorr.
Senior Logan Rademan (West Allis, Wis.) had a breakout season earning his first all-conference selection, a Second Team All-NACC award. Rademan finished the season with a .405 batting average that was good for seventh in the NACC. Rademan finished tied for the team lead with 51 base hits and led the team with his 17 extra-base hits. He led the team with his 14 doubles and ranked second on the squad with his 39 runs scored. Rademan was also one of the toughest hitters in the Sabre lineup to strikeout only being retired on strikes 14 times. On the base paths, he was only caught twice with 13 stolen bases putting him 12th in the conference. Rademan had multiple hits in 16 games during the season and was held hitless just once over the final 10 games of the campaign. His best series came against No. 17 Aurora where he was 6-for-7 (.857) with four runs driven in and three runs scored. He would hit a game-tying home run in game one of that series which led to a walk-off victory for the Sabres. He also went 3-for-4 (.750) with two runs driven in and four runs scored in game two against Lakeland at home.
Senior Albert Kiszka (Schaumburg, Ill.) earned a spot on the All-NACC Honorable Mention team for his first all-conference award. Kiszka easily bested most of his previous career-marks after hitting .351 on the season with 22 runs scored and 20 runs driven in. He also boasted a .463 on-base percentage for the season after drawing eight walks and being hit by nine pitches. He finished his career ninth on the all-time Marian list with 24 career hit by pitches. Defensively, he had just two errors and caught six runners which put him tied for fourth in the NACC. From the top 10 catchers in category for caught stealing, Kiszka wa one of just two catchers to not allow any passed balls. At the plate, Kiszka had multiple hits in nine games with three of those games being three-hit performances. From March 30 to April 14 he had one of the best stretches of his career going 16-for-32 (.500) with 16 runs driven in and 14 runs scored. During that stretch, he played in nine games and drove in at least one run in all nine games. He finished that stretch goign 3-for-5 with three runs driven in and four runs scored in the finale against Edgewood.
Junior Jacob Kleemann (Green Bay, Wis.) made an immediate impact for the Sabres and has been named to the All-NACC Honorable Mention squad. Kleemann led the NACC in triples and ranked 14th in the category with his six three-baggers. He would also close out the season with the sixth-best batting average in the conference at .407. Kleemann led the Sabres with 44 runs second, ranked third on the team with 50 base knocks, and was fourth on the squad with 25 runs driven in. He would also boast a 1.112 on-base plus slugging percentage that put him atop the team leader board. Kleemann started in all 36 games he played in and was held without a hit in just five of those games. He had 14 multi-hit efforts for the year including the final seven games of the year. In the series against No. 17 Aurora, Kleemann went 7-for-8 (.875) with six runs scored and three runs driven in. Kleemann also earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week after going 10-for-18 (.555) over the final week of the season. On the base paths, he was sixth in the NACC with his 16 stolen bases and was only caught twice.
