Family Connect of Wisconsin to Celebrate One Year of Community Impact in Fond du Lac

Ribbon Cutting and One-Year Celebration Mark a Milestone Year for the Fond du Lac Community Network

Family Connect of Wisconsin invites the public to celebrate one year of the Fond du Lac Community Network on Wednesday, April 16 at the Prairie Events Center. A ribbon cutting ceremony in conjunction with Envision Greater Fond du Lac will take place at 4:00 PM, followed by the One-Year Celebration from 4:30–6:00 PM. The event is open to the public and will celebrate the volunteers, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and agency partners whose commitment made the network’s first year possible.

The Fond du Lac Community Network launched in 2025 as one of Family Connect’s first Community Networks in Wisconsin. In its first year, the network has served 287children, fulfilled 118 needs requests, and generated more than $73,000 in donated goods and volunteer hours — the result of remarkable partnerships with local churches, businesses, nonprofits, and the Fond du Lac County Department of Human Services.

Family Connect of Wisconsin is a statewide nonprofit that builds Community Networks to connect local churches and community members with families facing financial hardship and social isolation. Using the CarePortal technology platform, agency caseworkers submit requests for real-time, practical needs and community partners respond — delivering goods and making meaningful connections with families.

Community members, volunteers, and partner organizations are encouraged to attend to learn more and consider how they can get involved. Both events are free, and registration is open to the public.
