10:45 am                     A Statewide Initiative: Assessing Employee Experiences with Burnout & Wellbeing Support, Marissa Kalkman, WCWI

Burnout is a threat to employee mental health regardless of company size, industry, and organizational rank. According to the 2021 Mind the Workplace Report, nearly 83 percent of survey respondents are experiencing early signs of burnout. And 1 in 4 employees are experiencing the more severe signs of burnout, including reduced professional efficacy and cynicism towards their jobs. Burnout is the result of chronic workplace stress that has not been managed. But the causes of burnout are complex. Employers need to be informed and understanding of employees’ experiences to create the working conditions and wellbeing support that will solve for, and proactively prevent, burnout. WCWI will describe how they are organizing a statewide opportunity for employers in Wisconsin to collect their employees’ experiences with symptoms of burnout and then translate their data into action.

11:15 am                     Final Remarks and Conference Wrap Up, Jeff Butz
