Warm up with winter creations in the Idea Studio at the FDL Public Library

Winter is here, but visitors of the Idea Studio at the Fond du Lac Public Library can heat up the season with fun, wintry creations during January’s Let’s Make events.

On Monday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m., get badged on the Idea Studio’s Silhouette Cameo 4 and learn how to customize a tote bag with heat transfer vinyl. Participants must be age 13 or older to join this free class. Register starting Jan. 8 at calendar.fdlpl.org.

Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m., get badged on the Prusa i3 MK32 3-D printers and make 3-D printed charms. The Idea Studio will provide chain links and other jewelry accessories for this free program. Participants must be age 13 or older to join. Register starting Jan. 9 at calendar.fdlpl.org.

Want to be prepared for Valentine’s Day? Join the Cut & Paste Club on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio to create collaged cards for Valentines Day. Cut & Paste Club is for anyone who is interested in making and learning about collage, while meeting other fellow creatives. No registration is required, and it is free and open to everyone. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Group badging opportunities also are available at the Idea Studio. Check calendar.fdlpl.org for sessions as they become available.
