About Karen Nelson
A champion for change related to diversity, equity and inclusion, my prior experience includes GE Healthcare, Shaw Industries, Dow Corning Wright, Xomed – now Bristol Myers Squibb, and M&M Products Company accomplishing various project management assignments with increasing responsibility, after starting my career as a Research Chemist for Proctor & Gamble.
Having lived “diversity”, I have experienced the limitation of the glass ceiling in some instances and shattered the glass ceiling in others! These experiences have molded me into a Diversity Strategist, uniquely qualified in working across all organizational units and functional groups as a Business Partner assessing organizational needs and requirements to create diversity action plan and manage change. An expert in the creation of corporate diversity councils and affinity groups, I facilitate the deployment of ‘best in class’ diversity solutions implementing measures to gauge their success.
