Envision Greater Fond du Lac launches new industrial-organizational research program to address local workforce concerns

Focused research on employee behavior in the workplace

Envision Greater Fond du Lac is launching a new industrial-organizational research platform as part of its business intelligence program, a first-of-its-kind offering in the greater Fond du Lac area.

Industrial-organizational research is the unique application of psychology, research methods, and statistics to the assessment of workplace dynamics. Research outcomes provide insight and potential solutions to workplace concerns, such as turnover, retention, employee well-being, and engagement.

“Industrial-organizational research is a valuable and distinctive service we can offer those in our county,” James Cleveland, Vice President of Economic Development at Envision Greater Fond du Lac, said. “Our team can work with key personnel to collect and analyze data, then offer suggestions based on the findings to help solve human and organizational concerns in the workplace.”

The first three offerings under this program include employee engagement and retention surveys; employee focus groups and one-on-one interviews; and an exit-interview program, in which businesses keep an Envision Greater Fond du Lac researcher on retainer to complete their exit-interview program for departing employees. Other types of research may be offered on an individual basis.

All research programs of Envision Greater Fond du Lac are accessible to both member and non-member organizations; member businesses, non-profit organizations, and startups are offered special discounts. Other research services include market research, business and customer marketing lists, industry reports, and workforce availability studies.
