Envision Greater Fond du Lac has added a Business Outreach Specialist. Sarah Van Buren, who formerly held the role of Director of Business Intelligence, will take on this new role. 

“The landscape of economic development is ever changing,” Lisa McArthur, Vice President of Economic Development said. “With 80% of the growth in any community coming from existing businesses, Envision understands the importance of fostering relationships and assisting with solution-based services and programs that address individual and shared company opportunities and problems.” 

Van Buren will lead the development and direction of the business retention and expansion outreach efforts for Fond du Lac County. 

“Taking on this role will utilize my skillset,” Van Buren said. “I look forward to assisting our business partners as they navigate the challenges and opportunities they face.” 

Van Buren served as the Director of Business Intelligence with Envision since April 2022. Prior to Envision, she served as the community and economic development coordinator with the City of Waupun and as the associate economic development planner for East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in international studies from Jacksonville University and a Master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Kansas. She also holds professional membership with the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners.
