Enjoy art created by local youth during the Youth Art Month exhibit at Langdon Gallery

Art created by students at Fond du Lac’s elementary schools will be the feature of the March Langdon Divers Community Gallery exhibit at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The pieces were created in honor of Youth Art Month.

Elementary art teachers from the Fond du Lac School District have chosen more than 200 pieces of student artwork to display in collaboration with the Fond du Lac Public Library at two locations:

  • The Allen J. Buechel Branch, located near Festival Foods on Fond du Lac’s east side: Feb. 28 to April 6,
  • The Langdon Divers Gallery (located at the main branch of the Fond du Lac Public Library) will have work on display from March 4 to 31.

“This March, we are excited to celebrate the creativity of our students at every grade level in the Fond du Lac School District,” said Anoush Cowles, art teacher at Roberts Elementary School in Fond du Lac. “Youth Art Month is an opportunity for the community to see the passion, skill, and dedication of our student artists. The Fond du Lac Public Library as well as Gallery & Frame Shop (which is also hosting High School and Middle School student work) provide amazing gallery spaces for these displays, and we look forward to sharing these experiences with the public.”

A public reception at the Langdon Divers Gallery will be held Wednesday, March 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Additionally, high school art will be on display throughout the library from Feb. 28 through March 26. These may be found throughout the first floor of the Main Library.

The Langdon Divers Community Gallery is open seven days a week, whenever the Fond du Lac Public Library is open at 32 Sheboygan St. The gallery may be found off the atrium at the south entrance to the Main Library.
