Senior Jocelynn Eggert ends her career with Marian University women’s bowling being named to the CSC Academic All-District team.
The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their efforts both in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of their team’s games, be a key starter or reserve on their team, and attain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5. They must also hold at least sophomore standing at their institution.
Eggert (Loves Park, Ill.) earns a spot on the CSC Academic All-District squad for a second straight season. She was a key piece to Marian earning its fifth CCIW Championship and second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. Eggert finished atop the individual standings at the first CCIW event of the season with a 190.3 average and placed 12th at the second conference meet with a 177.0 average. Over her seven individual games bowled in conference play, she had four games with at least 190 pins with a high game of 205. Outside of conference play, Eggert had a fifth-place finish at the Warhawk Open where she averaged 209.2 pins and had at least 200 pins in the final four games. She also averaged over 200 pins at the ISBPA Kegel Classic where her 206.4 average over five games was good for eighth.
