Dive into a new (or favorite) hobby during November at the Fond du Lac Public Library

Discover a new hobby or find time for an old favorite this month at the Fond du Lac Public Library. From tickling your funny bone to knitting with friends, find it all at the library during November.

On Monday, Nov. 4 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in h McLane Room, local expert Trevor Clementi will lead a Beginner’s Improv Workshop, introducing the basic skills for folks of any level. Registration is required at calendar.fdlpl.org.

Then, on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to noon in the McLane Room, see who can put a puzzle together fastest during the Fall Puzzle Tournament. Teams of two to four members will get the same 500-piece puzzle, and the first to assemble it will win a prize. For ages 13+; register at calendar.fdlpl.org.

Planning a holiday gathering? Join the library’s Snack Board Demonstration program on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room to learn to assemble an easy, attractive, and appetizing snack boar. Register at calendar.fdlp.org.

Bring your latest project to Yarn It All on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 9:30 a.m. in the Community Room. Work on your project and chat with other yarn crafters; no registration necessary.

Fond du Lac Public Library operates two locations: the Main Library at 32 Sheboygan St. in downtown Fond du Lac, and the Allen J. Buechel Branch at 1139 E. Johnson St. near Festival Foods. The main library is open daily: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Chapter 52 Bookstore at 52 Sheboygan St. is open Monday through Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the Allen J. Buechel Branch is open weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
