Discover How A Career in Nursing Will Change Lives

Marian University’s summer Nurse Camp delivers a hands-on experience for students exploring a career in health care.  The 4-day camp is co-sponsored by SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac.  Participants will shadow nurses at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac in a variety of specialties and have the opportunity to tour various units.  Students will experience and practice a number of nursing skills in the classroom such as CPR, first aid, IV therapy/injections, vital signs, and more.  Not only is summer camp an excellent opportunity to learn about the clinical side of the profession and the diverse career paths in the health care field, but it also provides a glimpse into the academic journey. Participation will include one-on-one time with current nursing students at Marian and health care professionals.

The 2023 summer camp will be held June 12 – 15 from 9 am until 3 pm. The only cost to participate is a $25.00 nonrefundable reservation fee upon acceptance. Lunch will be provided each day. Current high school students are encouraged to apply (priority will be given to those students graduating in 2024 and 2025).  The application deadline is May 1, 2023.  Any participant in the nurse camp that later enrolls at Marian University will receive a $2,000 scholarship for completion of the program.  To learn more and register, visit www.marianuniversity.edu/nursecamp
