Junior Sabrina Di Vito struck out a career-high 10 batters in game one to lead Marian University softball (20-18, 15-9 NACC) to a regular-season ending sweep of Lawrence, winning 3-1 and 5-2.
GAME 1
- Di Vito came out firing, striking out the first six batters she faced.
- Marian jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, as senior Ariana Schliepp drove in a run and senior Hope Matta scored on a sacrifice fly.
- Lawrence got one on the board in the third, but Marian answered as Matta scored her second run of the game on a single by sophomore Macey Pease.
- Di Vito struck out two more in the fifth as neither team recorded a hit for the remainder of the contest.
