Marian University women’s basketball (3-4, 1-1 NACC) had a three-game win streak snapped by Aurora falling to the Spartans 98-71.

- Marian held the largest lead of the first quarter at 14-9 after a triple from senior Lexi Brakebush.
- Aurora had a strong finish over the final 4:11 of the quarter using a 14-4 spurt to lead by five before a jumper from senior McKayla Goebel put the score at 23-20 after 10 minutes.
- The Spartans were able to take control in the second quarter opening the stanza with a 15-8 spurt to lead 38-28.
- Marian was able to cut that deficit in half with 3:25 to play until halftime but Aurora scored the final 11 points to lead 49-33 at the break.
- Aurora maintained a 15-point lead before the Sabres scored 10 straight points to only trail 53-48 with 4:11 on the clock.
- Marian was able to trim the deficit to as little as three on two occasions but Aurora took a 62-57 lead into the final quarter.
- A strong start to the final 10 minutes for Aurora saw the Spartans open with an 11-3 run to lead by 13 with 6:21 left.
- The Spartans held a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game with the final settling at 98-71.

- Marian shot 23-of-53 (.434) and 10-of-25 (.400) from beyond the arc.
- Aurora finished 35-of-68 (.515) from the field and 13-of-36 (.361) on three-pointers.
- The Sabres were 16-of-28 (.571) between the first and third quarters.
- This is the second straight game Marian has made double-digit triples.
- Aurora had 12 offensive rebounds and outscored Marian 19-7 in second-chance points.
- Marian falls to 3-20 all-time against Aurora with the Spartans taking the last 15 meetings.
