Not sure what to give a friend or family member this holiday season? Let the Idea Studio at the Fond du Lac Public Library help you out, or give you a reason to treat yourself, via a series of December programs.

On Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio, get badged on the Prusa i3 MK3S 3-D printers and go home with some merry keepsakes during Let’s Make: Winter Holiday 3-D Charms. Choose from dozens of filament colors, along with chain links and accessories.

Open to everyone age 13 and older. Registration is required for the program; other times will be available by appointment. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org.

Then, on Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio, get ready to deck your tree during Let’s Make: Sublimated Ornaments. Add a customized twist to holiday decorations while getting badged on the Idea Studio’s sublimation printer and heat press. This combo allows for personalized takes on everything from fabrics, to mugs, to puzzles, to mousepads and more.

Open to everyone age 13 and older. Registration is required for the program; other times will be available by appointment. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org.

On Monday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio, get badged on the full spectrum laser engraver/cutter during Let’s Make: Laser Engraved Wooden Spoons. Create an engraved wooden spoon to take home, either to keep or give away.

Open to everyone age 18 and older. Registration is required for the program; other times will be available by appointment. Register at calendar.fdlpl.org.

The Idea Studio is open for walk-in visits Monday through Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Fond du Lac Public Library operates two locations: the Main Library at 32 Sheboygan St. in downtown Fond du Lac, and FDLPL Express at 1132 E. Johnson St. near Festival Foods. The main library is open daily: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Chapter 52 Bookstore at 52 Sheboygan St. is open Monday through Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while FDLPL Express is open weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
