Cornerstone Funeral and Cremation Services, with locations in Beaver Dam and Markesan, has joined the Werner Harmsen family of funeral homes. The merger maintains both organizations’ long-standing commitment to ensuring personalized service, compassionate care and trusted, community partnerships are available to families for generations to come.

Familiar faces – Todd Michael, Taylor Boyd and the Cornerstone team – will continue to serve families under the Cornerstone name in Beaver Dam and Markesan while Werner Harmsen will assume ownership and operations management. The Markesan funeral home will receive interior renovations and a community open house will be scheduled upon completion. 

The Cornerstone merger is part of Werner Harmsen’s mission to preserve local, family-owned and operated funeral homes while providing care rooted in the communities it serves.
