Community invited to thank outgoing library director during Aug. 22 celebration at Fond du Lac Public Library

Join the Fond du Lac Public Library on Friday, Aug. 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. as the community and library staff say goodbye to longtime Library Director Jon Mark Bolthouse.

After 13 years leading the library, Bolthouse recently accepted a library director position at North Suburban Library District near Rockford, Illinois.

The event will be held in the Landgon Divers Community Gallery, located off the south foyer of the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Refreshments will be served; they are generously being funded by the Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Bolthouse led the library through many transitions during the past decade-plus, such as the creation of Chapter 52 Bookstore in lieu of a used book store in the library’s lower level, and pursuing new digital resources after the arrival of COVID. The community celebration on Aug. 22 will be a chance to thank Bolthouse for his years of service to the library and the city of Fond du Lac.
