City of Fond du Lac – Weekly Construction Update

The City of Fond du Lac is providing a weekly update on construction projects located within the corporate boundary. The Weekly Construction Updates and Construction Map are posted on the City’s Website at www.fdl.wi.gov.

Cottage Avenue – E. Division Street to Maple Avenue
Schedule: April through October
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
November 17 to November 21: The asphalt contractor will be onsite to begin fine grading for asphalt pavement. Asphalt pavement is scheduled for mid-week. The Concrete contractor may continue with driveway aprons and sidewalks, weather pending.
Traffic Impacts: Cottage Avenue is closed to traffic from E. Division Street to Maple Avenue. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades.

Oaklawn Avenue – E. Division Street to E. Merrill Avenue
Schedule: April through October

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
November 17 to November 21: The Utility contractor will finish water tie-ins early in the week. They will then install temporary pavement in the intersections for winter shutdown.  
Traffic Impacts: Montana Street is closed to traffic from Lake Street to N. Hickory Street. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
