Promen Drive Bridge Replacement
Schedule: June 16 through November 7
Description: In partnership with the WI Department of Transportation the project includes replacing the existing bridge structure and approaches.
September 22 to September 26: Crews will install bridge decking for the majority of the week. They will pour the four bridge wings which will complete the lower portion of the parapet for the bridge. Storm sewer installation and pavement removal on the west side of the bridge is scheduled.
Traffic Impacts: Promen Drive Bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic within Lakeside Park.
Bridge Rehabilitation and Maintenance
Schedule: July 7 through fall of 2025
Description: The project includes bridge deck asphalt & polymer overlay, surface repair, riprap, sidewalk, approach paving and railing painting.
September 22 to September 26: Crews will be re-installing the refurbished railing on the E. Scott Street bridge over DeNeveu Creek at the beginning of the week.
Traffic Impacts: The E. Scott Street bridge will be closed to traffic for a partial day between 9am and 3pm to install the railing. Once it’s safe for motorists to cross the bridge, it will be opened to traffic.
Algoma Street – E. Division Street to E. Merrill Avenue
Schedule: June through October
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
September 22 to September 26: The restoration contractor will complete placement of topsoil, seed, and hydro mulch. The paving contractor will begin fine grading mid-week, with asphalt pavement to follow.
Traffic Impacts: Algoma Street is closed to traffic from E. Division Street to E. Merrill Avenue. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Cottage Avenue – E. Division Street to Maple Avenue
Schedule: April through October
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
September 22 to September 26: The utility contractor will finish installing water and sanitary laterals.
Traffic Impacts: Cottage Avenue is closed to traffic from E. Division Street to Maple Avenue. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Oaklawn Avenue – E. Division Street to E. Merrill Avenue
Schedule: April through October
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
September 22 to September 26: No Work anticipated.
Traffic Impacts: Oaklawn Ave remains open to traffic.
E. Merrill Avenue – Cottage Avenue to DeNeveu Creek

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
