Junior Nicholas Cherkowski of Marian University NCAA men’s hockey has been named an NCHA Star of the Week.

Cherkowski (Vernon, B.C.) led the Marian offense recording five points in a sweep of Concordia College.  Cherkowski had four of his points come in the opener of the series after scoring a goal with three assists.  He recorded points as both a forward and defenseman in the victory.  He then earned an assist in the finale to close out the weekend.  Cherkowski leads Marian in scoring after the first half with six goals and eight assists for 14 points.
