Sophia Transformative Leadership Partners (Sophia) announced Duane Trammell as the recipient of the 2024 Virginia L. Gilmore Caring Community Award and Deborah Welch as the recipient of the 2024 Ann McGee-Cooper Spirit of Servant Leadership Award at a recent event.
Individuals from across the country met at Celebration Restaurant in Dallas, TX on November 8, 2024 for a luncheon and awards ceremony to honor individuals that are making a significant difference through their commitment to servant leadership.
Christa Williams, Sophia’s Executive Director & CEO, honored Trammell with the 2024 Virginia L. Gilmore Caring Community Award.
Trammell is President, COO, and one of the founding partners of Trammell McGee-Cooper and Associates (TMCA) in Dallas, TX. He has taken a special interest in writing, researching, and developing materials in servant leadership and has co-authored several books, including Time Management for Unmanageable People, You Don’t Have To Go Home from Work Exhausted!, Being the Change: Profiles from Our Servant Leadership Learning Community, and The Art of Coaching for Servant Leadership.
Williams honored Welch with the 2024 Ann McGee-Cooper Spirit of Servant Leadership Award.
Welch is a leadership coach and educator who integrates a wide array of reflective practices into her support of clients and students. She is an award-winning faculty member at Capella University in Phoenix, AZ and co-created VSLLC® in 2008 with McGee-Cooper and Gilmore. Welch has authored several books, including The Art of Coaching for Servant Leadership and Forgiveness in the Workplace.
