Junior Cole Carlson of Marian University NCAA men’s hockey has been named an NCHA Star of the Week.
Carlson, Co. (Fond du Lac, Wis.) had a five-point weekend to lead Marian to five points in the NCHA standings against Lawrence. Carlson opened the weekend with a three-point game where he had a goal and two assists. This helped lead Marian to a 7-2 victory on the road, it was the first time Marian scored seven goals in a game since 2023. He followed that up with his first multi-goal game of the season to lead the Sabres past the Vikings in overtime. His first goal came short-handed and tied the game late in the second period. It eventually proved enough to force overtime where he netted the game-winning score 31 seconds in. It was the second time in his career he had multiple points in both games of a series. Carlson, Co. was has also now scored a goal in five straight games.
