Carlson, Co. selected as NCHA Star of the Week

Junior Cole Carlson of Marian University NCAA men’s hockey has been named an NCHA Star of the Week.

Carlson, Co. (Fond du Lac, Wis.) had a five-point weekend to lead Marian to five points in the NCHA standings against Lawrence.  Carlson opened the weekend with a  three-point game where he had a goal and two assists.  This helped lead Marian to a 7-2 victory on the road, it was the first time Marian scored seven goals in a game since 2023.  He followed that up with his first multi-goal game of the season to lead the Sabres past the Vikings in overtime.  His first goal came short-handed and tied the game late in the second period.  It eventually proved enough to force overtime where he netted the game-winning score 31 seconds in.  It was the second time in his career he had multiple points in both games of a series.  Carlson, Co. was has also now scored a goal in five straight games.
