Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2026 – Bowling Through the Decades

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County’s largest annual fundraiser. This year, Bowl for Kids’ Sake – Bowling Through the Decades will take place on March 6th and 7th, 2026, at Parkway Lanes in Fond du Lac.

“BFKS has been a cornerstone fundraiser for BBBS for decades. I believe it is our largest annual fundraiser because it combines fundraising with fun,” said BBBS Executive Coordinator Amy Docter. “This year’s theme, Bowling Through the Decades, invites participants to dress up and celebrate favorite styles, music, and memories from past decades.”

Hundreds of people from all over the Fond du Lac County area come together to bowl and raise money in support of local youth. Each bowler fundraises at least $75 to participate, or $50 for bowlers ages 17 and under. Fundraising teams collect donations and then celebrate their success by attending a bowling party. There are cash prizes for top fundraisers and top costumes; 50/50 raffles; drink specials; and entertainment from DJ Marty Schibbelhut and DJ Galaxy throughout the event. BFKS is a fun and easy way for companies and individuals alike to make a positive impact through bowling, costume contests, prizes, and a little bit of friendly competition.

“BFKS is an event that Fond du Lac goes all in to support,” said BBBS Executive Director Tammy Young. “You do not have to be a bowler, which allows people of all ages to participate and raise money.”

BBBS holds a bowling shift just for matches during the event. Volunteer mentors (Bigs) are encouraged to raise at least $50 to participate, and youth (Littles) bowl free. This special bowling shift includes root beer floats from A&W, face painting with Fondy Face Painters, a pin contest with Verve, and other fun prizes.

Fundraising events like BFKS help BBBS find, train, and match volunteers with children who need mentors in our community. Over $100,000 was raised at last year’s event through sponsorships, peer-topeer fundraising, and food and drink donations from Parkway Lanes.

“We are also blessed by some great corporate partners that support us year in and year out making this event a big success,” said Young. “There’s still time to sign up and be part of this fun-filled event!”

Visit bbbsfdl.org/campaign/2026-bfks to register as an individual or join a team, select your preferred bowling shift, and start fundraising. Each registration includes two games of bowling, shoe rental, and a free event t-shirt if registered by February 16th.
