Marian University softball (17-15, 12-6 NACC) had a 10 game winning streak snapped falling to Benedictine 9-0 in five innings and 2-1.

GAME 1
- Marian got a single from junior Sofia Cerullo in the second and it proved to be the only base knock for the Sabres.
- The Eagles did all of their damage in two innings scoring four in the second and five in the fourth.
- It was the eighth time this season the Sabres were held scoreless.
GAME 2
- Game two opened as a pitching duel as well with Cerullo knocking in the first run of the game in the top of the fourth.
- Marian was able to hold the Eagles scoreless until the sixth when Benedictine took the lead with two runs.
- An error allowed the tying run to get on base in the top of the seventh but Marian was unable to do anything with it.
- Marian is now 14-25 all-time against Benedictine having lost the last seven meetings.
