Love to craft? Visit the Fond du Lac Public Library during August to swap your supplies or to join any of several exciting programs.
Drop off any unwanted craft supplies now through Aug. 4 at the library’s Help Desk. Then, return Sunday, Aug. 6 from noon until 3 p.m. in the McLane Room to pick up new-to-you craft supplies during our second annual Craft Swap. No cost or registration necessary to participate.
Prefer to let the library prepare your craft? Register for any of the three upcoming programs scheduled for August.
First, on Monday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room, design your own Rock Paper Holder during Bad Art Night. All supplies will be provided. Register now at calendar.fdlpl.org.
Then, during Evening Craft Class on Monday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room, create a Mini Pot with Button Flowers. Register starting July 31 at calendar.fdlpl.org.
Let your artistic abilities bloom again on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. in the Idea Studio for Good-Natured Crafts, when participants can create a stamped tea towel. All supplies are provided; limited space available. Register starting Aug. 8 at calendar.fdlpl.org.
Fond du Lac Public Library operates two locations: the Main Library at 32 Sheboygan St. in downtown Fond du Lac, and the Allen J. Buechel Branch at 1132 E. Johnson St. near Festival Foods. The main library is open daily: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Chapter 52 Bookstore at 52 Sheboygan St. is open Monday through Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the Allen J. Buechel Branch is open weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
