The Wisconsin Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program is now accepting applications for $9.5 million in grants, funded by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration through the State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program.
The current round of applications is due by 1:30 p.m. at May 20. The commission will administer awards for a performance period of up to three years. Eligible applicants include local governments, state agencies, Tribal Nations, nonprofits, community anchor institutions, local educating agencies, workforce development agencies and more.
The grant program is organized around two program tracks: Digital Navigators (Track 1) and Digital Opportunity Coalitions (Track 2). Digital Navigator grants are designed to expand current and/or support new programs to increase internet adoption, digital skills and digital opportunities. Digital Opportunity Coalitions aim to expand and support groups that will raise awareness, identify community needs, and increase the network of people, programs and services that increase digital opportunity.
Application instructions can be found online at https://apps.psc.wi.gov/ERF/ERFview/viewdoc.aspx?docid=535896.
