Proceeds from this year’s Love Lights, presented by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, will help support the Carol Hyland Caring for You Fund.
Individuals can support Love Lights by purchasing a light in honor of someone they wish to remember or celebrate during the holiday season. This light will shine on the beautifully lit evergreen in front of SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital.
“Each year, our Love Lights tradition offers a meaningful way for families and friends to honor and remember the cherished relationships in their lives,” according to Mason Gravelle, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation philanthropy development manager, Wisconsin Region. “We’re continually touched by the stories people share when they dedicate a Love Light in honor or memory of someone who has profoundly impacted them. It’s a reminder of the love and legacy that connects us all.”
The Carol Hyland Caring for You Fund was established in 2010 so that families have an option for assistance with basic life needs they might not be able to afford during cancer treatment or care for other long-term illnesses. Many who are challenged with the hardship of an illness and treatment are often further burdened by worries about how to pay for utilities, children’s needs or simply putting food on the table.
Since its founding in 2010, the fund has helped more than 1,400 people and has raised more than $487,000 to help with non-medical patient assistance.
“Being able to focus on healing, physically and mentally when you have an illness is so important,” Gravelle shares. “And, when you are ill, sometimes life’s needs get overlooked. The Caring for You Fund is an avenue to assist with these areas of need.”
The names of those honored and remembered will be displayed throughout the holiday season by visiting givetossmhealth.org/lovelightsfdl.

In addition, the Foundation also offers Angel Lights ($150 and above) for interested individuals. All donations of $150 and above will have a special designation on the online Love Lights tribute page.
