Marian men’s golf finishes final tune-up before NACC Championship

Marian University men’s golf had a 329 and 306, second-lowest round of the season, to finish 18th at The Grand Intercollegiate.

  • Brett Ramme paced Marian for the event finishing with a 76 and 74 to finish in a tie for 32nd.  
  • Ramme had seven birdies between the two rounds with five of them coming in his second round.
  • Tyler Fromolz bounced back from an 85 in the opening round to post a team-best 73 in the second round.
  • Brady Brenner also had a strong second round posting a 77 after scoring an 83 in the first round.
  • Brendan Bottem had rounds of 87 and 82, while Edison Weeks went for an 85 and 86 to round out the Marian lineup.
  • Tyler McGown competed as an individual and had the fourth-best score for Marian golfers.
  • McGown opened with an 86 before posting a 76 in the second round.
  • Dubuque won the event with 569 strokes, while Spencer Lynch and Michael Markley of UW-Eau Claire tied for medalist honors at two-under par.
