Fond du Lac Public Library staff aren’t just knowledgeable – they’re talented, too. During October, enjoy art created by library staff during FDLPL’s first-ever staff art gallery.
From Oct. 7 to Nov. 3, discover the hidden talents of the staff of the Fond du Lac Public Library during “Beyond the Books: the Art of FDLPL Staff.” Stop by the Langdon Divers Community Gallery to view various pieces of art in multiple mediums, from fiber art to photography to pottery and more.
This exhibit will include the work of about 15 artists displaying roughly three dozen items throughout the gallery, which is located adjacent to the foyer at the library’s south entrance. The gallery is curated by Mel Kolstad.
Want to try to create your own art? Stop by the library’s Idea Studio, which is located on the lower level and open on evenings and weekends. This makerspace offers a selection of equipment free for the public to use once trained. These include 3-D printers, a CNC router, laser cutter, embroidery machine, sublimation printer and heat press, and more. Learn more about the Idea Studio at fdlpl.org/ideastudio
