Charlotte Touw and Emilee Clarey of Marian University field hockey have been named the CFHC Players of the Week.

The duo each earned this recognition after a weekend sweep that saw Marian defeat Wooster and Kenyon each 4-2 on the road.

Touw (Utrecht, Netherlands) had a nine-point weekend to pace the Sabre offense as she continued her strong start to the season.  She netted a pair of goals to go with an assist against Wooster with her second goal serving as the game-winning tally.  The five points tied her season high for points in a single game.  Touw followed up that performance with her third multi-goal game of the season in the victory over Kenyon.  She heads into conference play having scored at least one goal in the last six games.

Clarey (New Hartford, N.Y.) had one of her best weekends of the season earning the win in goal for both games.  She finished the weekend with eight saves posting a .667 save percentage between the two games.  Clarey opened the weekend making three saves in the win over Wooster before stopping five shots against Kenyon.  The five-save performance was her second-highest save total for a game so far this season.  This is the fourth time in her career she has been named the CFHC Defensive Player of the Week.
