Marian University women’s soccer (2-5-2, 0-3-0 NACC) returned to the win column with a 1-0 shutout at Beloit.

• There weren’t many opportunities in the early going as there was just two shots on goal through the first 25 minutes.
• Daniela Chaname nearly broke the scoreless tie in the 27th minute but her shot hit off of the crossbar.
• The defensive struggle continued the remainder in the half as the halftime score was still 0-0.
• Marian was finally able to find the back of the net in the 60th minute when Allegra Hong scored her first goal of the season.
• The Sabre defense held strong the rest of the way to lead Marian to its second shutout this season.

• Marian finished with a 13-9 edge in shots and 7-5 advantage for shots on goal.
• Beloit had five corner kicks to just two for the Sabres.
• The Buccaneers were called for 14 fouls and Marian 11.
• The Hong goal snapped a stretch of four straight games without a score for the Sabres.
• Marian is now 7-5-1 all-time against Beloit with back-to-back 1-0 victories.

	Allegra Hong scored her first goal of the season, and it proved to be the game-winning goal.
	Cristal Muniz (2-5-2) stopped all five shots she saw for her second shutout of the season, third of her career.
	Emily Gordillo had four shots with three being on frame.
