Marian University women’s soccer (1-5-2, 0-3-0 NACC) put together a strong offensive effort but could not find equalizer falling 1-0 to Lakeland.

• The Sabres came out strong in the opening half, controlling possession and creating several offensive opportunities.
• Marian continued to apply pressure, recording 13 shots in the first half.
• At the 20:17 mark, Kylee Verkuilen nearly put the Sabres on the board but her shot found the top of the woodwork.
• The Sabres continued to control play throughout the remainder of the half holding Lakeland without a shot and sending the game into halftime tied 0-0.
• Marian opened the second half with an early opportunity as Ysabella Sanchez fired a shot at 48:21, but the attempt was saved.
• The Muskies broke the stalemate at the 54:47 mark finding the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead.
• The Sabres continued to pressure offensively outshooting Lakeland 10-1 in the second half.
• Marian was unable to find the equalizer as the Muskies held on for the 1-0 victory. 

• Marian outshot Lakeland 23-1, including a 13-0 advantage in the first half.
• The Sabres recorded 13 shots on goal, compared to just one for the Muskies.
• Marian held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
• The Sabres are now 27-14 all-time against Lakeland with this being the first win for the Muskies since 2008.

	Sophia Romo led the Sabres with six shots and five shots on goal.
	Allegra Hong added three shots for the Sabres with all three being on goal.
