Marian University field hockey (3-2, 0-0 CFHC) took advantage of its opportunities defeating CUW 2-1.
 

• Marian wasted no time getting on the board scoring just 35 seconds into the opening quarter.
• Charlotte Touw found the back of the net off an assist from Clara Guivernau Ragghianti to give the Sabres an early 1-0 lead.
• Both teams continued to battle throughout the opening quarter, but Marian held onto its 1-0 lead heading into the second.
• A late strike from Guivernau Ragghianati with just 35 seconds left in the half saw the Sabres take a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
• The third quarter saw both teams continue to battle, but neither side was able to find the back of the net as the Sabres maintained a 2-0 advantage entering the fourth.
• Concordia Wisconsin came out with increased offensive pressure in the fourth quarter and eventually found the back of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1 with 8:40 left to play.
• The Marian defense the rest of the way, however, to seal the victory. 

• Marian held Concordia Wisconsin to just five shots, including three on goal.
• Concordia Wisconsin earned 13 penalty corners compared to Marian’s two.
• The Sabres had 41 fouls to only 29 for the Falcons.
• Marian is now 11-1 against CUW all-time and remain undefeated at home at 7-0. 

	Clara Guivernau Ragghianti had a hand in both goals scoring once and assisting the other.
	Charlotte Touw opened the scoring with a goal just 35 seconds into the game.
	Emily Clarey (3-2) recorded three saves in the victory.
