Marian University women’s volleyball (4-6, 0-0 NACC) dropped a pair of four-set matches to St. Scholastica and UW-River Falls.
 

 
VS. ST. SCHOLASTICA (L, 3-1, 25-13, 25-17, 18-25, 25-22)

• The Marian offense had a slow start to the day as CSS jumped ahead 20-8 and easily took the opening set.
• A similarly quick start in the second set saw the Saints jump ahead 10-4 and held that comfortable lead the whole way.
• Marian was able to take the battle back and take the third set.
• The two sides had a 10-10 stalemate to start the set before Marian took the lead for good with an 8-3 run.
• With that momentum, the Sabres held a 16-11 lead to start the fourth set.
• Marian brought that lead out to 21-20 before CSS scored five of the final six points to win the match.

VS. UW-RIVER FALLS (L, 3-1, 25-10, 25-15, 27-29, 25-23)

• Another slow start plagued Marian in its second match of the day as UWRF was able to quickly take the first two sets.
• Just like the opening match, the Sabres battled back and took a seesaw third set.
• The two sides found themselves knotted at 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, and 27.
• The Sabres were able to fight off three set-point chances for the Falcons before eventually forcing a fourth set.
• Marian had an 8-4 lead to start the fourth with the four-point margin proving to be the largest of the set.
• The Sabres led late at 20-19 only for a UWRF timeout proving to swing the momentum and helping the Falcons score the next three points.
• It proved to be the difference as the two sides just went point-for-point the remainder of the way.

VS. ST. SCHOLASTICA

• St. Scholastia held a 49-45 edge for kills but Marian had the edge in the back row at 76-72 for digs.
• St. Scholastica had seven service aces to only three for Marian.
• Marian remains winless at 0-4 against St. Scholastica but this was the first time in program history the Sabres won a set against the Saints.

VS. UW-RIVER FALLS

• There was a slim 44-42 edge in kills for UWRF along with the Falcons holding an advantage in digs at 61-54.
• The battle at the net was won by the Falcons with UW-River Falls recording all seven blocks in the match.
• The Falcons also had a hefty 13-2 margin in service aces.
• Marian is 0-6 all-time against UW-River Falls.
• The Sabres are 0-4 in four-set matches this season.

	Kylie Krueger had 28 kills and 24 digs on the day with a double-double against CSS.
	Raegan Montello had 10 digs and two service aces against UW-River Falls.
	Khloe Walling posted 11 kills and hit .444 against UWRF.
